Well, I have finished the first week of play. I liked learning about Twitter and I have signed on and posted one tweet, but I don't know that I will use it all that much in the future. None of my friends are on Twitter and now Facebook lets you do the same thing and you can follow your friends. I did find my favorite author (Holly Black) on Twitter and she seems to post a lot of tweets. That was cool.
I guess my big question with all of this technology is at what point is it too much? Several people talked about tweeting during conferences. If they are tweeting, then how can they really be paying attention? Are we becoming so concerned with staying connected that we are missing out on something in the present?

Originally I created this blog as part of a library wide training assignment. Now I have decided to put it to better use. I am going to review books for older children and teens. Sometimes finding the right book for older elementary and middle school children is difficult because you have to match reading level with content. For every book I review I will have a summary and scoring system and a list of any objectionable content.
